STS Install First ImP System on Naval Platform in Bahrain

Engineers from STS Defence Ltd recently conducted a successful installation of an innovative new Gunnery Command & Control Communications System on board an MCMV HUNT Class Platform in Bahrain. In partnership with SAVOX Communications Ltd, the ImP System has recently been developed for use on larger surface fleet platforms and will provide discrete communications between the gun platforms and the Command.

The Bahrain installation, designated as a minor trial, has a high profile and will hopefully pave the way for future, permanent installations across the fleet. The relatively short installation window on the platform proved a challenge, however, with a truly collaborative approach between the customer, STS and Savox, a successful outcome was achieved.
