STS Defence begin Knowledge Transfer Partnership with the University of Portsmouth

STS Defence have started their Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with the University of Portsmouth. This 3 year programme brings in university graduates to work alongside STS Defence staff to develop new products.
The programme, managed by the Engineering Services department of STS Defence, is aimed at developing products that can be implemented into their existing target markets; Aerospace, Defence and Homeland Security.
Engineering Services Business Manager Alan Mackinnon commented:
“New Product Development is a fundamental part of STS Defence’s strategy and key to future growth, and this KTP is another step towards achieving it”.
This KTP is a worthy example of how SME’s and educational facilities can work in synergy to help one another with their technological expertise.
