STS Defence and Savox Communications sign teaming agreement to supply defence communications equipment

STS Defence Ltd announces it has signed a teaming agreement with Savox Communications UK Ltd to support the supply of the ImP (IP Mobile Platform Communication System) to one of the UK’s largest Defence system integrators as part of a future UK MoD land based requirement. The Savox Communications location at York, United Kingdom, focuses on designing and manufacturing audio and data communications solutions for land and maritime military users. STS Defence, based at Gosport, United Kingdom, is a leading contract mechanical and electronics manufacturer that focuses on the low to medium volume, high reliability sector.

The teaming agreement combines the 40 years manufacturing and service record that STS Defence has in serving the military market, with the equivalent experience of Savox in the professional communications sector.  Savox Communications will be the innovation and product technology lead, with STS Defence providing supply side logistics management, manufacturing expertise, service and route to market capabilities.

In the current environment within the UK MoD, the defence sector is looking for new levels of price performance, still combined with mission critical reliability. With its unique and innovative ImP communications platform, Savox can bring to market flexible, lightweight communication solutions that are mobile and easily deployed, thus supporting the most demanding operational requirements.
