STS Defence Awarded Ice Patrol Ship Contract

STS Defence have been awarded a MoD contract to design, integrate, install and support a Communications capability for the new Ice Patrol Ship, now known as HMS PROTECTOR.

HMS PROTECTOR will be a MoD chartered vessel replacing HMS ENDURANCE and will provide interim capability for three years, until a replacement solution can be successfully implemented.

The contract will be based on a number of tasking arrangements and will see STS Defence support the Communications capability through to 2014. This has proved a significant win for the Engineering Services team and further cements their value to the MoD and the Royal Navy.
