STS Defence Awarded Additional NADCAP Accreditation

STS Defence Ltd is pleased to announce its facility located in Gosport Hampshire has been awarded Nadcap accreditation for Cable and Harness Assemblies in addition to their existing approval for Circuit Card Assemblies.

This is a significant achievement for STS Defence, which becomes the first company in Europe to be Nadcap accredited to this standard (AC7121 – Cable and Harness Assemblies).

Managing Director Richard Papanicolaou commented “This accreditation is additional to our existing approval (AC7120 – Circuit Card Assembly) and demonstrates our ongoing commitment to manufacturing excellence. It allows aerospace equipment manufacturers to use STS Defence confident in the knowledge their product is being produced to the highest standard and conforming to strict guidelines. Alongside our AS9100 and BS EN ISO 9001 approvals it provides an additional assurance of our processes.”

Nadcap is a worldwide cooperative programme of aerospace industry prime contractors that governs precise standards used to measure the competency, capability and consistency of suppliers and associated products within the aerospace industries. Nadcap is administered by the Performance Review Institute (PRI), a not-for profit group providing international, unbiased, independent certification for the manufacturing of products.

“Achieving Nadcap accreditation is not easy: it is one of the ways in which the aerospace industry identifies those who excel at manufacturing quality product through superior special processes. Companies such as STS Defence work hard to obtain this status and they should be justifiably proud of it,” said Joe Pinto, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at the Performance Review Institute. “PRI is proud to support continual improvement in the aerospace industry by helping companies such as STS Defence be successful and we look forward to continuing to assist the industry moving forward.”
