Sales Manager

We have the additional requirement for a Sales Manager to help further develop the business.

Job Description

To find and exploit marketing opportunities, providing company introductions to new and previous customers..

Supporting the Business Development Managers, from initial customer targeting through to bid completion.

To be an integral part of the entire customer facing sales process

General Deliverables
Develop new customers within the defined market sectors

Achieve the forecast order-book

Establishing new relationships and improving existing relationships to ensure sales success leading to a strong future customer order book and good opportunity pipeline

Provide weekly reports showing contact and progress with new and potential customers

Capture plan for specific opportunities

Analyse customer and competitor requirements and positioning

Customer Satisfaction

Preparation for quotations for mechanical fabrication inc labour and materials

Understand and monitor how the customer measures the company

Customer contact plan

Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate will have a background/qualification in electrical/mechanical engineering with a good working knowledge of the Defence market, especially MoD procurement, coupled with a proven track record in technical sales. Experience in other comparable technical/engineering service sectors will be considered. Either way, it is essential that you are commercially astute, have excellent communication skills and an excellent relationship-builder. Scope for career progression exists within the organisation.

NAVAL SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN - Sonar 

A vacancy exists at the Land Based Test Site, Portsdown Technology Park , Portsdown Hill, Portsmouth for a Naval Systems Technician, focusing on Sonar. The main task of the LBTS is to trial and test new systems and new versions of software. 

Experience in Naval Weapons Systems and Sensors would be ideal as well as knowledge of the Combat System Highway

You will be employed to maintain Sonars 2050 and 2087, but you will be required to work on other systems. An ability to work as a member of a team is essential.

Candidates with a Naval Engineering background would have an advantage but all applicants demonstrating a technical understanding of Sonar will be considered.

 Field Service Engineer

STS Defence Ltd has a vacancy for a Field Service Engineer. Responsibilities will be for the installation, system setting to work and presentation for acceptance trials of various RN communications systems fitted in RN and RFA vessels.
This position would suit an ex LWET (WE) or POET (WE) with experience in external communications systems.
