New Name in Firefighter Safety Announced at Emergency Services Show

By 24th August 2016News

A new name in firefighter safety is launched at the Emergency Services Show being held in Birmingham on 21/22 September, 2016. IntelliMon has been created by STS Defence to capitalise on its capabilities in intelligent monitoring systems.

The first product to be launched by the new division is an electronic personal protection and alarm system designed to detect and predict the sudden rise in temperature that precedes a “flashover” incident, FiRST™ (Firefighter Rescue and Support Technology®).

“We have launched IntelliMon™ to provide a focus on our knowledge of sensors, artificial intelligence and wireless communications. Initially we are focusing on the industrial, maritime, public safety and defence markets,” said Richard Papanicolaou, Managing Director of STS Defence.

“FiRST™ is just the beginning for IntelliMon and is a reflection of our commitment to continuous improvement, constantly looking at ways to develop innovative products and expand the capabilities of our current offerings,” he added.

IntelliMon is based in Gosport, Hampshire and will be exhibiting FiRST on stand M61 during ESS.
