Technical Author

As a Technical Author, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality, user-friendly technical documentation that supports the development, operation, and maintenance of our mission-critical systems. Your work will directly contribute to the success of complex defence technologies and ensure our systems meet the highest standards of usability, compliance, and operational readiness.

Duties:

• The production of high quality, legislation compliant, technical documentation and safety cases
•  Identifying and reviewing documentation and drawing conclusions as to the project impact
• Assisting in and conducting meetings with multiple stakeholders to meet a defined aim within strict time constraints
• The production of technical documentation as part of a recognised quality process to a high standard of written and technical English compliant with Def Stan’s and JSP’s
• Communicating with stakeholders of current ILS programs and documentation requirements
• Assessing technical information and communicating key topics in plain language to mixed background audience
• Assisting in and conducting meetings with multiple stakeholders to meet a defined aim within strict time constraints
• Communicating with stakeholders on matters relating to Safety and technical information within their area of responsibility
• The production of equipment tally information required for manufacturing of tallies
• Undertaking any duty that may be reasonably expected to be carried out in support of the Company objectives

Skills/Qualifications:

• An understanding of Defence related safety
• An awareness of Health & Safety at work Act 1974
• A good working knowledge of MS office suite and related IT
• An awareness of Def Stan 02-40 & JSP 543 / 101
• Strong communication & Interpersonal skills
• The aptitude and drive to actively progress Continuous Improvement
• Proven customer interaction
