Engine cases for Vector Aerospace

The challenge

Vector Aerospace needed a reliable, reusable engine transport case which could be stored safely outside in extreme weather and environmental conditions.

We were challenged to take a new product concept design and produce a manufacturing design solution, as well as deliver final, accepted product within three months.

Our Solution

To achieve the deadline, our solution needed proactive project management and an accelerated process with multiple work streams. The design included a fully pressurised environment to protect against outside conditions and a high quality build to safely secure a heavy engine.

The transport case was delivered on-time and the proactive and responsive working relationship between STS Defence and Vector Aerospace has led to many other engine containers and cradles where our expertise is being called upon at a much earlier stage to inform design and manufacturing.
