The Challenge
Following-on from successful qualification programmes with Rolls-Royce, we were awarded the contract to manufacture and supply control boxes for the marine MT-30 Gas Turbine engine.
Our Solution
Working closely with Roll-Royce, we successfully demonstrated our capability by providing a manufacturing solution for multiple control boxes, incorporating circuit boards, affixed to the main engines for the MT-30 GT. These are used currently on the Type 45 destroyer and the Queen Elizabeth class aircraft carriers in the Royal Navy as well as American, Canadian and Japanese warships. They have been selected for use on the future Type 26 frigate and the Hunter class frigates for the Royal Australian Navy.
