STS Defence Marks Joint Achievement at South Hampshire College Group Apprenticeship Awards 2026
06th February 2026STS Defence and its apprentice, Katie Cumming, were both recognised as winners at the Apprentice Awards 2026, hosted by the South Hampshire College Group (SHCG). STS Defence received the “Employer of the Year” award, and Katie Cumming was named “Engineering Apprentice of the Year”.
Hosted on Thursday 5th February at Southampton College, the newly established awards ceremony celebrated SHCG apprentices who had successfully completed their programmes, while also recognising those who demonstrated exceptional performance throughout, along with their employers.
“To have both STS Defence and one of our apprentices recognised as winners is a tremendous honour,” said Ben Stancliffe, Managing Director of STS Defence. “Katie’s Engineering Apprentice of the Year award is a testament to her dedication and progress, and it highlights the strength of our Early Careers programme. We’re incredibly proud of her and the entire team.”
