STS Defence Apprentice Wins ‘Apprentice of the Year’ at Fareham College Student Awards 2025
26th June 2025STS Defence is proud to announce that Katie, a Level 3 Engineering Fitter apprentice based at CEMAST and employed by STS Defence, has been named Apprentice of the Year at the Fareham College Student Awards 2025.
Katie has quickly distinguished herself as an exemplary apprentice, setting a high standard for excellence in engineering. Renowned for her dedication, technical skill, and professionalism, she has earned a reputation as a gold-star student with a consistent track record of outstanding performance.
With near-perfect attendance and a commitment to completing tasks ahead of schedule and to the highest standard, Katie is recognised as a dependable and skilled team member. Her proactive approach to learning and her drive for continuous improvement reflect her strong commitment to both personal and professional growth.
Beyond her technical achievements, Katie is a passionate advocate for women and young people in engineering. She actively promotes diversity and inclusivity in the industry and serves as an inspiring role model for others. Through her representation of both STS Defence and Fareham College, Katie embodies the values of innovation, integrity, and excellence.
Looking to the future, Katie is already planning to continue her development by progressing to a Level 4 Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Engineering – demonstrating her ambition and drive to succeed.
